Another nice day in Puerto de Mogan. We were feeling a little bit better but not up for another road trip on the twisty roads so we decided to just hang around town. There is a local archeological site up the hill that forms the valley the town is in. We felt well enough to climb up a trail to see the ruins of La Cañada de los Gatos
These are a landmark of the island’s pre-hispanic archaeological time, made up of diverse stone houses spanning 1,000 years. This coastal population sprang up along the mouth of the ravine at Mogán and developed into a large settlement with an important urban structure. The houses that made up the village of La Cañada de los Gatos, La Casa de Las Siete Esquinas, the burial pits and tombs of La Puntilla and Las Crucecitas and the burial caves, are scattered around the eastern slopes of the ravine, very near to its mouth.
These are some of the remains of the houses, some going back as far as the 5th century.
The path leading through the remains also provides a good overview of the town.
Near the end of the walk, we passed through an ancient gravesite with a number of hillside stone lined burial sites.
After this, we exited into one of the most opulent resorts in town.
Next stop was the Pharmacia to try to get some drugs to cure the queasiness we have both been experiencing for the last few days. The lady there recommended "Vomistop" so we purchased some. Chris decided to give it a try so we hung out at the apartment for a while then made our way to the beach for late afternoon relaxation in the sun.
Whatever was in the drug, seemed to revive Chris so we decided to do a pre-sunset hike up the highway to the overlook.
I got a few good sunset captures.
On the way back, the town lights were coming on giving a nice view of the area in the evening.

Some nice sunset shots. I like the water in the one taken at 18:37.
