It was time to explore the beaches heading in an easterly direction today. We went to the closest beach (Playa del Camison) and started our walk along the promenade.
The largest beach (Playa de las Vistas) was a short distance along the way and most of the cabanas were occupied on this sunny day.
The ferry and fishing port is at the end of this beach and we spent some time watching the boats coming and going.
A Viking Cruise Lines ship entered the port.
We continued on past Playa De los Christianos and Playa de los Tarajales to where the promenade turned into a hiking path ascending the cliffs. I wanted to get up near the top but the trail deteriorated and we only had sandals and no hiking poles so we only went part up to get a bit of an overview of the area.
We walked back home with a stop at one of the many pubs for a one euro pint and glass of wine.
Late afternoon was hot so we went to our pool which I would term "refreshing".
For the second time, we walked down to watch the sunset anticipating a clear night. There were some very low cumulus clouds forming over the island which gave an eerie backdrop to the streetscape!
Unfortunately, there was one cloud over the ocean that decided to obscure the sunset.
